Request Install Packages Overview

The REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES permission is used to allow users to install APK files that are received as attachments in the messaging app.

We don't discriminate what types of attachments are sent BUT if they send an APK it must REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES permission or APK will not be loaded.

Our platform was not built for the purpose of transferring APKs but our customers may choose that file type.
